Most spiders are harmless, but nobody wants them in the garage, on the porch or above the bed. Our licensed Loudoun County technicians identify what you have, remove webs and egg sacs, treat the entry points and cut down the insects that feed them.
Spiders come inside for food, shelter and quiet corners. A home with lots of insects, outdoor lights that draw bugs to the walls, cluttered storage and small gaps around doors, vents and pipes will attract spiders, whatever the season.
Many Ashburn neighborhoods back onto trees, ponds, trails and green space, and newer homes have garages, window wells and storage areas that spiders like. Most are harmless, but black widows and large, fast spiders can worry families. Treating the spiders alone is only half the job, so we also reduce the insects and entry points that bring them.
Illustrations show typical body shapes. We identify the actual spider during the inspection.

Large, fast hunters that do not spin webs and often wander indoors on the ground floor.
Tiny bodies with very long thin legs. They hang in loose webs in damp, dark corners.
Pale, fast spiders that build silk tubes in corners and on ceilings instead of webs.
Garden spiders that build large round webs on porches, trees and railings in summer and fall.
Brown spiders that build flat webs with a funnel retreat in grass, corners and basements.
We recommend a plan after the inspection, based on the spiders, your property and how much activity there is.
We inspect eaves, entry points, garages, sheds and basements, identify the spiders and clear webs and egg sacs.
A barrier treatment around the foundation, door frames, windows and eaves reduces spiders and the insects they feed on.

Homes near the W&OD Trail, wooded lots, ponds and Beaverdam Creek areas see more outdoor spiders and the insects they eat. Treating eaves, porches and fences keeps them from moving in.
In Brambleton, Broadlands, Belmont and South Riding, garages, window wells, sheds and landscaping give spiders places to settle. We check each and seal gaps around the foundation.
In Ashburn Village, Ashburn Farm and Lansdowne, shared walls, common areas and building exteriors are where we find most webs. We work with neighbors and HOAs on a building-wide plan.
Bright lights around patios and entrances draw insects, which draw spiders. Warm, lower-intensity lights and keeping them away from doors help.
Outdoor seating and entrances at One Loudoun, Brambleton Town Center and along the Dulles Greenway corridor collect webs fast. We schedule service around your hours.

Most spiders found in Northern Virginia homes are harmless and eat other insects. The ones to take seriously are black widows, whose bites need medical attention. If someone has been bitten and feels unwell, seek medical care and, if possible, save the spider for identification.
Brown recluse spiders are often reported but are rare in Northern Virginia, and most suspected recluses turn out to be harmless spiders. If you are unsure, we can identify what you found during an inspection.

Spiders follow their food. A lot of spiders usually means a lot of other insects, along with webs, clutter and entry points around doors, windows and vents. We address the spiders and the conditions that attract them.
We follow product label directions, concentrate treatments on the exterior and in cracks and corners, and tell you how long to keep children and pets away from treated areas until they dry.
You may see fewer spiders within days and a clear drop within a couple of weeks as the insects they feed on decline. Webs are removed during the visit, and we re-treat if spiders return under your plan.
